Hello everyone sorry for not being able to update the blog recently but my computer crashed and my son in law just got it fixed on Thanksgiving. Thank you So much Peter. Life here is moving on I have good days and not so good days. I miss Dad so much. Hospice has free counseling for bereavement if any of you wish to use it it is available to any of the family members for 1 year. for any who wish to take advantage of this great service.

I hope as we move forward we can all use this sight for our Memories of our Family members as well as keeping the family up to date on our lives. this I will be printing out and combining into a book for a family genealogy and history.

I will be posting pictures now and then and you may as well.
Johnson Gloshot Funeral home has a Memory page for dad . Here is the web. address

Uncle Bill

To Uncle Bill, Aunt Jeannie, Diane, Mike, and Susan,

I want to tell you how touched I was by the announcement that you made a donation to the Alzheimer's Association in Dad's name. What a wonderful tribute to our loving father and your brother as well as Uncle. It will certainly do more than any bouquet of flowers could do and I appreciate it so much. Thank you.
I wish to also thank you Bill and Jeannie, that you came out to the viewing and graveside service. It was wonderful to see you again and loved the stories about Dad and you, Uncle Bill about when you were young. I was most pleased that you accepted the military flag and shell casings. It was a very moving part of the ceremony.
Also, thank you for saying a few words to those who attended. I know it was hard for you, but you made not only the family members attending happy, but I believe Dad was very touched by your simple words.
Thank you again,
Lee Ann Hopkins

12 November, 2010

I just returned from Kalispell Montana late last night. I will be posting pictures as soon as Don returns home late tonight or tomorrow.

Dads funeral was very nice a bit chilly but not bad. Family in attendance were..... Myself(Jo Ellen), Don, Eric, Diana Ziegler, Nichole Ivie, Terri Wise, Lee Hopkins, Bill and Jeane Weastergren, Tom and Susie Homan. There was a few friends of mine and Dons that also attended. It was a small group of people but very nice. Terri, Lee and I picked out nice headstones for Dad and Mom. They will be placed sometime in the spring. Dads has a tree and ocean waves on it and moms has roses and a humming bird. they are a nice earthy color granite (several different browns and some black specks). We tried everything possible to get wireless up at the cemetery but nothing worked. So Nichole Videoed it and copied everyone's pictures. she is going to put them all together an a disc and I will be mailing them out to those who want them. if you are not one of the children and would like a copy please email me and let me know. Name, Address etc. you can email it to me joellenziegler@gmail.com

The military honors were done at the funeral and the Flag and shells presented to Uncle Bill.
Kalispell 3rd. ward provided a luncheon for the family and friends after the services. This was very kind of them.

I will be mailing out to the siblings a few things including programs from the funeral and a copy of the Death certificate. I will probably wait till Nichole is done with the video.

There are a few other details I will be discussing with my siblings that need to be finished up.

I know Dad is so happy to be back with Mom . We will greatly miss him but I know life is eternal and we will see him again some day.

I hope and pray we can all use this blog to keep up to date with each other and share our joys and our sorrows.

I will continue to post on here and hope you enjoy our families lives and news.

I LOVE and MISS you ALL.

Jo Ellen
